Members at BIGHORN are constantly presented with opportunities for a little friendly competition.
Whether you choose to play with your spouse
or team up with a fellow member in one of several team events, you can always
find an alternative to your typical round of golf.
Member/Guest Events
Guests are treated to an unforgettable experience when
invited to play in a tournament at BIGHORN Golf Club. Whether coming for a
Guest Day or the famous weeklong BIGDEAL Member-Guest, they will encounter
immaculately maintained golf courses, rousing parties, dazzling entertainment
and exquisite dining.
Men’s Golf Days
The Men’s Golf Days offer all gentleman golfers and
opportunity to mix with other members in a team event. The format requires you
to accrue Quota points, which are determined based upon your handicap. The
points are adjusted throughout the season should you consistently play above or
below your handicap, allowing all players an opportunity to win prizes.
Ladies’ Days
Every Thursday morning, ladies join for a round of golf
followed by lunch at the Clubhouse. It is not uncommon for a specific theme to
be associated with this weekly get-together. The ladies at BIGHORN enjoy
getting dressed up in safari attire for an “Are You Game” Member’s Guest or in
leprechaun green for the annual St. Patrick’s Day tournament. Fun is the key
word and even serious players cut loose on Thursdays with their friends, A
season-long birdie and ringer board helps ensure that a bad round with at least
a good hole or two will make it worth your while.
Ladies’ Team Play
For keener inter-club competition, sign up for Ladies Fall
or Spring Team Play. BIGHORN ladies tee
it up against competing clubs in the desert and duke it out to see which team
is top dog.
Couples Golf & Dinner
On scheduled Sunday afternoons, couple may join forces to
compete in a foursome match for prizes and fun. Participants meet in the
Clubhouse following the event for cocktails and a dinner buffet.
