BIGHORN BAM RAISES OVER $500,000 IN ONE NIGHT FOR EISENHOWER BREAST CANCER PATIENTS! March 13, 2012

Palm Desert, California (March 13, 2012) – Inspired to save the lives of Coachella Valley cancer patients, BIGHORN Behind a Miracle (BAM) hosted it's Launch Party Saturday night for it's 5th annual Golf Tournament (being held April 11 & 12). Through the combination of silent and live auction items, BIGHORN BAM raised an astounding $530,000 in one spectacular evening!

Over 300 Members and guests attended the BIGHORN BAM Launch Party, held at an incredible tennis estate inside BIGHORN Golf Club. Over 80 silent auction items were on display; all donated by generous Coachella Valley retailers with an additional six live auction items. Tommy Bahamas provided savory hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while Ketel One poured signature cocktails all night! Live auction items included impressive art and a private dinner with Imago Galleries, Semi and Finals tickets to March Madness, a Rolex watch from Leeds & Son, a luxurious Whistler Lodge Getaway, a Southern France Chateau Escape and an exclusive dinner at the new BIGHORN home of R.D. & Joan Dale Hubbard with actors Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, along with his private wine label, Gogi.

Founded by BIGHORN Members to support the Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center and Eisenhower BIGHORN Radiation Oncology Center, BAM marks its fifth year and is considered to be one of the largest single private fundraisers benefiting Eisenhower Medical Center. "Saturday night was overwhelming! BIGHORN Members are extremely generous donors caring about the cancer patients throughout the Coachella Valley," says Betty Wolf, Vice President, Eisenhower Medical Center Foundation. "BIGHORN BAM's heartfelt donations have provided much needed Mammogram Machines, Diagnostic Technologies, Genetic Counseling and 3,182 round-trip Transportation Services for patients receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatment who are in need, many who depend on public transportation."

"My colleagues at Eisenhower and I are so grateful for these funds, which allow us to have the best medical equipment in order to offer the finest, most state-of-the-art care to all of our patients," says breast imaging specialist Deborah Rubin, MD, Board Certified Radiologist at Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center.

"The BIGHORN Behind A Miracle golf tournament has proven to be exactly that...a true miracle," shares Chairwoman Selby Dunham. "I am so proud to keep this money in the desert and benefit Eisenhower's first class facility and staff as well as the genuine effort The Pendleton Foundation exhibits with cancer patients who are truly in need. The generosity of the BIGHORN members, their guests and friends is truly extraordinary....without the enthusiasm and energy of so many volunteers and committee members, none of this would have been possible."

"I am so excited to give back to Eisenhower," says Selby Dunham, a breast cancer survivor of seven years. "After all, they gave me my life." BIGHORN BAM is a 501(c)3 charitable organization under BIGHORN Golf Club Charities and has raised over $1.5 million for Eisenhower in the past 4 years.
